02 Dates & location

When and where is NTI 2027?

Indianapolis hosts NTI 2027. AACN lists the meeting as May 2–5, 2027, but read the dates the way the program does: May 2 is preconference day, and the main conference runs May 3–5. The exhibit hall is open only on May 4 and 5.

Sessions are split between the Indiana Convention Center (100 South Capitol Ave.) and the JW Marriott Indianapolis next door at 10 S. West St. Plan for walking between the two buildings when you build your schedule.

Our NTI 2027 event page tracks the same dates and will carry the fee table once AACN posts it. Other meetings for the same audience are on the critical care conferences 2027 list.

03 Contact hours & CERPs

How many contact hours can you earn at NTI?

More than 37.75 CE contact hours, according to AACN's NTI 2027 page. That is the ceiling, not a guarantee. AACN counts hours on a 60-minute hour and awards them only for the learning activities you actually complete.

NTI hands out two kinds of credit, and people mix them up. The main education sessions (60, 75 or 150 minutes) carry nursing CE contact hours. Exhibitor-run Sunrise/Sunset sessions and 30-minute ExpoEd talks on the show floor carry CERPs, which AACN calls "similar, but not equivalent, to a CNE or CME contact hour."

AACN is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the ANCC Commission on Accreditation. Session pages also carry California Board of Registered Nursing provider number CEP 1036. A 75-minute session such as NTI 2026's "Navigating NTI 101" was listed at 1.25 contact hours and 1.25 CERPs in Category C.

APRNs should look for pharmacology. AACN says activities with pharmacotherapeutic credit help APRNs meet licensure and certification renewal requirements, counted by the time spent on that content. AACN had not published the 2027 pharmacology total by late October 2026. Compare it with your state's rules on our NP CE requirements page.

A CERP is not a contact hour. If your state board asks for contact hours, count only the sessions that list contact hours.

04 How to claim CE

How do you claim NTI contact hours?

Credit is tied to your AACN account and to sessions you finish in full, so most of the work happens before you leave the room.

  1. Sign in to your AACN account and add each session to your schedule on the NTI site or app. AACN's session pages say you must add a session to your schedule before you can earn its CE.
  2. Attend or watch the entire session. AACN states that no partial hours or credit are awarded, so leaving a 150-minute session at the break earns nothing for it.
  3. Complete that session's evaluation.
  4. Complete the overall program evaluation as well. AACN lists it as a separate requirement for contact hours and CERPs.
  5. Check the Transcripts tab in MyAACN for your record before you report hours to your board or certification renewal.
  6. Finish on-demand sessions before access closes. For NTI 2025 and NTI 2026, AACN kept sessions with CE available until October 31 of the meeting year; it has not announced the 2027 cutoff yet.

05 CERPs for CCRN renewal

Do NTI CERPs count toward CCRN renewal?

Yes, that is what CERPs exist for. AACN describes them as its own designation to help nurses meet CE requirements for AACN certifications.

Take the CCRN (Adult) Direct Care pathway as the example. Renewal by Synergy CERPs needs 100 CERPs over the three-year period: at least 60 in Category A, 10 in Category B and 10 in Category C, with the other 20 from any category. You also need 432 hours of direct care to acutely or critically ill adults as an RN or APRN, with 144 of them in the 12 months before your renewal date.

Each NTI session page shows its CERP category, so check whether you are short on A, B or C before you pick sessions. Other AACN credentials (PCCN, CCRN Pediatric or Neonatal, Knowledge Professional) use different category splits, so use the renewal page for your own credential.

06 Registration & fees

NTI registration: rate types and ways to pay less

AACN had not posted NTI 2027 fees as of October 31, 2026. Its rate page still showed the NTI 2026 structure, which tells you what to expect. We will add the 2027 numbers to the NTI 2027 event page when AACN publishes them.

For NTI 2026, the early window ran December 2 to February 2, then advance rates to April 6, then regular rates. Members paid less than nonmembers in every window. If your hospital gives you an education allowance, our CME money page shows what such allowances cover and what conferences cost.

  • Full conference, member or nonmember, in early, advance or regular windows.
  • Daily registration for members and nonmembers.
  • Preconference half day or full day, sold separately.
  • NTI Virtual registration for the online program.
  • Student rates for people in an accredited professional nursing program who are not yet licensed as an RN (registered by phone at 800-899-2226).
  • Organization discount: vouchers in bundles of 30 or more at one flat rate for members and nonmembers, usable for in-person or virtual main conference registration. Vouchers cannot be combined with other discounts, and unused ones are nonrefundable.

Daily and preconference-only registrations do not include NTI Online Sessions, according to AACN's rate page. If you planned to catch up on demand for extra hours, buy a full registration.

07 Housing

Where should you book a hotel for NTI?

Book through AACN's official housing service. For NTI 2027, AACN's exhibitor page says rooms go through the AACN Housing Service on a first-come, first-served basis; for NTI 2026, AACN named Convention Housing Management as its official housing bureau.

AACN also warns about unauthorized housing solicitations from vendors that are not official. If a company calls or emails offering NTI rooms, check that it is the bureau AACN names before you give a card number. Under the 2026 exhibitor terms, rooms cancelled after April 15 forfeited the first night's room and tax deposit, so read the cancellation terms when you book.

08 Past & future NTIs

AACN NTI dates and host cities, 2025 to 2030

NTI has run since 1974 and moves every May. Searching for "NTI 2026"? It took place May 17–20, 2026, at the San Diego Convention Center, followed by NTI Virtual on June 15–17. AACN kept NTI 2026 online sessions and certification review courses open on the conference site and mobile app until October 31, 2026, so today is the last day to finish them for credit.

09 Call for abstracts

Can you present at NTI? Abstract deadlines

Both NTI 2027 calls are closed. Live-session abstracts were accepted March 2 to June 8, 2026, and poster abstracts September 30 to October 28, 2026.

The rules are worth knowing for 2028. AACN reviews only the first 5 abstracts per primary facilitator, posters are digital only, and poster categories are Beacon, Chapter Best Practices, CSI, Healthy Work Environment, Evidence-Based Solutions and Research. AACN gives no fixed topic list for live sessions; it asks for anything across nursing roles, patient populations, clinical systems and professional practice.
