Alternatives & exemptions. To maintain licensure the APRN must meet the recertification requirements of the national certifying agency and have practiced 1,500 hours in the past 5 years or 600 hours in the past 2 years in the role and population focus (or graduated within 2 years).
Good to know. APRN license expires with the Delaware RN license (or Sept 30 of odd years without one); prescriptive authority renews with it. The RN license needs 30 hours per 2 years; national certification/recertification counts as 20 of them (rule 9.3.3).
