Alternatives & exemptions. Current national certification must be documented (licensed after Sept 1984; lifetime certificants document continuing participation) and may be counted as 30 of the 60 total contact hours (RN + APRN). Completing a graduate nursing program within 2 years of the application replaces the 30 hours.
Good to know. APRN hours are in addition to the 30 contact hours for the RN license (60 total). Also needs 400 practice hours within 4 years (or recent graduate program) and a current NH or compact RN license. Renewal due by midnight on the birthday of the renewal year.
