Alternatives & exemptions. No general APRN CE hours: competency is shown by holding or maintaining national certification from a recognized body during the biennial period plus one more item from the RN proof-of-competence list (e.g. 10 contact hours of CE or another listed item). The RN license (or multistate privilege) must also stay current.
Good to know. APRN certificate renews every 2 years. The 2 hours apply to APRNs with a Certificate of Fitness (prescribers); the Department lists qualifying courses, some free.
