Renewal requires current certification by a national APRN certifying organization for each specialty (uploaded at renewal), APRN practice of 400 hours in 2 years or 960 hours in 5 years, a current collaborative agreement if required, and meeting RN renewal requirements (practice hours, 20 hours of CE, or national certification) or a multistate RN license.
Good to know. Biennial licensing period; renewal opens 6 weeks before expiration in OPR Online Services. Vermont RN license holders must renew the RN license before the APRN license.
