Alternatives & exemptions. Any one within the past 2 years instead of 40 CE hours: 400 hours worked as an RN or LPN/VN, passing the NCLEX, a refresher course, or a nursing degree program beyond the basic nursing education.
Good to know. All licenses renew every even calendar year, Oct 1 to Dec 31. Proof of competency (e.g. CE certificates) is submitted with the renewal application. The Board states fees are waived for the 2026 renewal; $90 is the listed fee plus a 2.4% card fee.
