02 About
About American Association of Bovine Practitioners
Cattle work is the entire focus at AABP, an international association of veterinarians, credentialed veterinary technicians and veterinary students founded in 1965. Few general veterinary meetings go this deep on one species, so it is an obvious fit for dairy and beef practitioners.
The annual conference combines scientific sessions with a trade show, live and silent auctions, and a 5K fun run, and speakers can take questions through a live audience app. AABP has also offered virtual attendance so that members can reach the education without traveling, with recordings available early to those attendees.
Credit carries over outside the conference. AABP is a RACE-approved provider, its committee webinars are RACE approved too, and members get online CE as a benefit. Recent graduates have a separate conference of their own, worth a look in the first seven years after graduation.
