About American College of Cardiology
Thirteen cardiologists started the ACC in 1949. It now describes itself as a professional home for the whole cardiovascular team, with members around the world, so its audience reaches well beyond physicians in cardiology practice.
Clinicians mostly know it through the Annual Scientific Session, where new science, guideline updates and practical skills share the program with interactive learning spaces and an exhibit floor. Late-breaking clinical trials are a fixture of the program, though a practicing cardiologist can also spend the days on applying guidelines and hands-on sessions.
We have not confirmed the credit types for the coming meeting on the ACC's public pages, so check its credit statement for your profession before registering. One naming trap: the ACC also accredits hospital cardiovascular programs, which is separate from CME accreditation and says nothing about the credit a course offers.
