About Fitzgerald Health Education Associates
Fitzgerald began in 1989 as a certification review business for nurse practitioners, and board prep is still a large part of what it does. Continuing education came later, built around pharmacology and clinical skills for NPs who need to maintain certification.
Its four-day conferences suit a clinician who wants to choose by topic. Each day is its own module on a subject such as 12-lead ECGs, dermatology or prescribing, and you can book one day or all of them. Listings state total contact hours and how many of those are pharmacology, which helps if your renewal hinges on Rx hours. Faculty are practicing NPs.
For credit, Fitzgerald is an AANP-accredited provider of NP continuing education, and some activities also carry credit through NetCE, a jointly accredited provider, including AAPA Category 1 credit for PAs where the course page says so. Compared with a broad society meeting, this is narrow and practical, with no association behind it.
