02 About
About Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry
For this foundation, the public-facing event is the Veterinary Dental Forum, a meeting that has run since 1987. It hosts the forum together with the American Veterinary Dental College, the specialty body recognized through the AVMA's Board of Veterinary Specialties.
The audience is wide on purpose: veterinarians, technicians, students and practice staff all attend, and the program is pitched at several skill levels, so a general practitioner and a dental specialist can each find something usable. Lectures run alongside hands-on labs. A keynote speaker addresses all attendees, and an exhibit hall shows instruments, equipment and texts.
The city changes each year. The forum's site doesn't spell out credit approvals on its main page, so check the current program and your state board before counting hours toward renewal.
