About Pennsylvania Society of Physician Associates
PSPA has represented PAs in Pennsylvania since 1976. As a nonprofit and a constituent chapter of the American Academy of Physician Associates, it sends delegates to AAPA's House of Delegates, while its own committees handle state advocacy, education and conference planning. Students hold two of the seats on its board, which says something about how much attention the society gives to people entering the profession.
Its fall CME conference covers a wide spread of primary and specialty topics over several days, the sort of mix that helps a generalist PA pick up a lot of credit in one trip. Recent programs have added simulation lab workshops and a full day of activities for PA students.
On credit, read the current listing closely. For its most recent conference PSPA said it would be applying for Category 1 CME, so the final designation is worth confirming before you count on those hours. PAs seeking subspecialty depth may want to pair this regional meeting with a national one.
