About Society of Dermatology Physician Associates
Dermatology PAs have their own national society in SDPA, a nonprofit that supports the specialty's PAs through education, advocacy and leadership development. Its CME is open to non-members as well as members, and comes in online on-demand form as well as at live events.
Two conferences anchor the year, one in summer and one in fall. Each offers Category 1 CME accredited through the American Academy of PAs, and because the program is written for dermatology PAs, the content assumes you already work in the field. A PA newly moving into dermatology may also want to look at the early-career scholars program SDPA has run alongside its fall meeting, while a recent immunology track targeted those with more experience.
Grants and corporate sponsors support these conferences, as SDPA states openly, and readers can weigh that as they would at any specialty meeting. Compared with broad PA gatherings, there is less variety here and far more skin-specific depth.
