CPA's 40th Annual Convention
01 Overview
The Connecticut Psychological Association marks its 40th annual convention with a split format: a virtual pre-convention workshop on the evening of Thursday, November 5, 2026, and a full in-person day on Friday, November 6 at the Yale University West Campus Conference Center in Orange, Connecticut. Grace Kong, Ph.D., opens Friday with a keynote on adolescent addiction, social media and vaping, followed by three blocks of concurrent sessions on topics such as AI ethics in psychotherapy, firearm suicide prevention, media addiction and intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy.
CPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Attendees can earn up to 6.0 CE credits (2.0 virtual on Thursday, 4.0 in person on Friday), and credit is given only to those present for the entire program.
Regular-rate tickets run through November 6: $149 for members, $199 for non-members and $55 for verified students and postdocs; the Thursday virtual workshop alone is $49 for members and $79 for non-members. The organizer reports that full in-person access is sold out with a waitlist, so check the event page before planning travel.
