ADA CERP and AGD PACE: reading the credit statement
Dental conferences show their CE standing through the provider, not the speaker. The ADA's Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition sets standards and recognizes providers through ADA CERP, which it describes as a basis for state boards to accept CE credits uniformly. AGD PACE also approves organizations rather than individual speakers or course content.
Jointly accredited providers can now include dentists without a separate CERP recognition. None of this replaces your state dental board's own list of hours and mandatory subjects. PACE-approved providers submit course rosters to AGD, so AGD members can check their transcript a few weeks after the meeting.

The biggest dental conferences or hands-on courses
The biggest dental conferences combine many lecture tracks, an exhibit hall and programs for the whole team. They are efficient for lecture credit and for comparing equipment on one trip. Popular speakers fill rooms on the day, so arrive early.
Participation courses in implants, endodontics or digital workflows have limited seats and a separate fee. You get more practical value per hour and fewer credits per dollar. PACE expects providers to tie enrollment in participation courses to available resources, which is why seats are capped. When you build a dental conferences schedule for the year, book those courses first and add lectures around them.

Practice growth tracks, team members and budget
Some meetings run practice management tracks on leadership, scheduling and finances. A board may cap non-clinical credit, so check whether yours counts these hours even when the provider is CERP recognized or PACE approved.
If you bring hygienists and assistants, each license has its own state rules. Team packages save money only when the sessions fit everyone. Keep each person's certificates separately, because one group receipt will not satisfy an individual audit.
