ACPE credit and CPE Monitor
The credit at pharmacy conferences is ACPE CPE, and ACPE calls it the standard credit for pharmacist and technician license renewal across US states and territories. One CPE credit equals 0.1 CEU. Each activity is classed as knowledge-based, application-based or a certificate program, which tells you how much hands-on work to expect.
Credit reaches CPE Monitor, the tracking service run by ACPE and NABP, only after the provider records your NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth, so enter both carefully when you claim. State boards can check CPE Monitor at renewal. You see the same transcript in your e-Profile; look at it a few weeks after the meeting.

Live CE, specialty and state association meetings
Your state board of pharmacy sets the hours per renewal and any required topics or live hours. If you need live CE as a pharmacist, check how your board classes hybrid and streamed sessions before you count them as live.
Specialty pharmacy conferences and oncology pharmacy meetings go deep into one practice area. Community pharmacists may get more from a state association meeting with law and immunization sessions. Sessions from jointly accredited providers may carry IPCE credit instead of ACPE CPE; ACPE says that credit also appears in CPE Monitor.

Free pharmacist CE or a paid conference
No-cost online modules handle a single required topic well, and free pharmacist CE is easy to find. Before you pay for a conference, list what the free options already cover. What they seldom give you is live hours, certification review or hands-on training in immunization technique or point-of-care testing.
Ask about employer CE funds early, and compare one-day passes with full registration. Ask whether recordings are included and whether on-demand sessions are certified as their own activities. Keep each statement of credit with the session title in case of an audit.
